THE FESTIVAL OF EMPIRE
ATHLETIC EVENTS. (By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) (Reed 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 22. Lord Desborough, presiding at the Sports Committee of the Festival of Empire, said that they "had arranged for the athletics. On June 24th the events are: — One hundred yards, quarter of a mile, and a mile hurdles. Boxing and wrestling on the 29th. Swimming one hundred yards and a mile on July Ist. The various governing associations will control the contests.
