A THRILLING ESCAPE.
(By Electric Telegraph— Copyryhf. LONDON, April 19 The firing of an electric cable at the Pinkton colliery lighted the woodwork at. the bottom of the shaft, from which dense smoke issued. Four hundred miners were rescued, there being- many thrillinig escapes.
