RECRUITING THE MINISTERS
(By Electric Telegraph— Copyright, j MELBOURNE, April 19 Archdeacon Crossley, the new Bishop of Auckland, in an interview held very strongly to the opinion that Australia should draw its Ministerial recruits from Australia, \ not from abroad. It was of advantage to Australia bringing out picked men to do the special work, such as teaching, but as the great majority came to do hard thankless work in the back-, blocks the ministry should be ofiicered toy young men 1 bred £nd l born to the conditions of life and quite equal to the task : from every point of view. ;
