LONDON, .April 13. The reasons for Morrison's reprieve are unknowm. ,

The. newspapers recall the fact that Justice Darling- in pronouncing sentence abstained from^ concurring^ in the verdict.

The Lord Chief Justice in the Court of Appeal -remarked ' that the function if' the Court was not to" say that

the verdict "was right " or wrong", but whether the trial had been properly conducted. " . '
