ASSAULT AND RBBERY.
IN' A WELLINGTON STREET. .AN ARREST. . (By Telegraph — Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 11. An assault and robbery was committed in Sydney St last night, and this evening" a man was arrested on suspicion of being- concerned in the affair. - ' .
From information available, it appears that a Wellington man named James Richardson- arrived in town from Feilding on Monda3' night with a considerable sum of money in his possession, and while proceeding aloncr Sydney Street was assaulted and robbed of £44. ■
About nine o'clock to-night Detectives Cameron and Hammond ed |Norman Manson, on suspicion, and at; the Magistrate's Court tomorrow he will be charged with assaulting ißichardson and robbing- £44 from him.
