An expert motor driver, who gave evidence in a Police Court case in Auckland on Friday, said that ladies were a source of worry to motorists. "One never knows," said the witness, "what they are going to do. Sometimes they will cross two thirds of the road, and seeing- a motor car coming will turn and retrace their steps, and almost certainly get in front of the vehicle. They will even occasionally walk right into you. In fact, a woman in the middle of the road generally does exactly opposite to what the unfortunate driver of a car expects her to do.''
