The local weather [report /yesterday was : — Wind, east breeze ; barometer, 30.03; thermometer, 55 degrees ; tides moderate ; bar rough.
The Rev D. C. Bates (Government Meteorologist) wired at noon yesterday as follows: —
"{Expect westerly moderate to strong winds freshening and probat ly squally to-night; weather probably cool and changeable ; nrobafcly showery glass fall, tides good, sea considerable There are indications for sea increasing after twenty four hours."
