HYORO ELECTRIC POWER.
(By Telegraph — Per Press Association) PAHIATUA, April 9. A deputation waited on the Hon. R. McKenzie, (Minister of Public Works, and uiyared the early development of the Makuri hydro power scheme. The Minister expressed himself favourably impressed with the .scheme, which should supply Pahiatua, Eketa hina, Masterton, iWoodville, Dannevirke and Palmerston North. Mr McKenzie promised to send the engineer to further report, and advised the deputation to find out what mark** -there was available for the power.
