PLAGUE IN JAVA.
(.By Electcric Tel agiraph— .Copyright.) •SYDNEY, April. 7. The iManagre rof the Dutch Steamship Company has received official conifirmation of the existence of plague in Jam. It only . exists in Malaing- district ; there is none on the coast and the msease i of a violent charrcter. It is confined to natives All precautions have been taken, especially for the isolation of the infected area. On April 2nd, thirteen cases were reported, whereof seven proved fatal.
