HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

♦ ANiNUAiL MEETING. The annual meeting- of the West Coast 'Hockey Association was held last evening, Mr L. F. de Berry in the chair. There was a large attendance of delegates and jthe report presented, showed 'the prospects for the forthcoming season to ibe 'bright. Cobden and Kumara were accepted as senior, and the Kumara ladies team were also accepted. The election of officers for the year resulted : — President: Mr L. F. de Berry. Vice-iPresidents : Archdeacon York, F. Sellers and P. t A. (Anderson. .Delegate to New 1 Zealand Hockey Association: D. Manson. Secretary: .Mr* .M. Keating- (acting*). Treasurer: Mr A. •Robbie. Managing Committee :, Messrs Rose Colvin, White, iMills . with secretary, treasurer and president ex officio. Match Committee Messrs Kear, Rose,D cere, O'Reilly, Wliite. Selection : Messrs W. Kerr (tHokitika), F. D Sargeant, G White. . Auditors: Messrs P. A. Anderson and Legget't. Postponement Committee: Messrs Poole (Kumara) Owens and Kerr (Hokitika) McLean .and de .Berry (Grey). • A vote of thanks was passed to Mr McLean for his services rendered in the interest "of hockey. The chair-' man and several members spoke in flattering strain of the good work done 'by iMr McLean during his three years as secretary of the Association. On the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr iG. Hills, the meeting placed on record its keen appreciation of the services io.nde.red to hookey and the West iCoasf. Hockey Association 'by the late John Frank and also expressed its heartfrk sympathy at his untimely end. The motion was carried in silence — all present standing. A vote of thanks to -the chaor terminated the meeting.
