The Magistrate gave judgment this morning .in the case in which tEe validity of the by-law affecting- meetngs in Cathedral Square was called :n question. Defendant asserted his •ight to hold meetings and deliver speeches in the Square. The Magis:rate held that the Council had a *ig"ht to m'alce the by-law and to de:ide to whom permission should be ?iven to hold meetings, and that the by-law was reasonable.
