Poherua. Kamona. Ennerdale. Annie Hill. The Alexander sailed early yesterday morning for Westport and New Plymouth. The Kaitoa is due from Wellington via usual ports this morning and sails this afternoon for ;Nelson direct. The Waimea left Wellington yester-t da} r for Grey via way ports and is due to-morrow. The Kennedy leaves Wellington on Monday for Grey via usual portsv and is due on Wednesday. May 1 is the date on which the Shipping .and Seamens' Act Amendiment Act ,1909, comes into operation. The Kittawa leaves Lyttelton today for Grey direct. The Ngahere is due from Wellington to-night and sails to-morrow for the same port. The Ngatoro is due from Auckland on Monday nigfht, and sails for Wellington on Tuesday. The Maoriland Steamship Company's steamer Holmdale, now on her way from Lyttelton to Rawene, will load timber at the latter place for Wellington, where, she is expected on Tuesday next. Mr.C. jA. C. Heslop has rejoined the Mararoa as third officer after hay- • ing been ashore through illness. Mr W. Rogers, who has ibeea relieving him, Was joined the Corinna as third officer. Mr D. Watson has joined the Mapourika as third engineer. Mr C. W. Pirie, late second engineer of the .Poherua, has joined 'h<Kurow in a similar capacity.
