Dalgety and Company Limited have- received the following, cablegram, from their London Office, dated Ist inst:— lf Wool sifles closed firm, and. prices generally are on a par. with the highest point of these sales. As compared with closing rates of last series merino wools of all descriptions are 5 per cent to. 7^ per cent higher; fine xbreds greasy 5 per cent to 10 per cent'; medium • xbreds greasy par to 5 per cent higher; coarse xbreds greasy 5 per cent to 10 per cent higher. Scoured xbreds show a rise of 5 per cent to 1\ per cent and slipe wools are 5* per cent higher." • , "The total quantity available for sale amounted to 232,000 bales, of which 3000 'bales have been sold for America, 120,000 bales for Home consumption, 72,000 bales "for the Continent. 30,000 bales were not offered and 37,000 bales are carried *»rward to next series."
