NEWCASTLE COAL VEND.
i.By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) SYDNEY. April. 6. A meeting of colliery proprietors, further discussed the question of dissolving the coal vend. It is understood that considerable tension rests on the matter, opponents contending^ that the dissolution will mean the introduction -of a cut-throat policy, which will seriously affect the coal trade. The statement was that if the vend was dissolved, «:oal would 'be sold in 'Newcastle for seven shillings per ton. The decision of the meeting, if any has ibeen'' arrived at, has not ibeen disclosed .
