♦ EUGENE bSSiPOFF. OPERA HOUSE. To-night at the Opera House M. Ossipoff and company give their farewell concert in Greymoutli, at pop ular prices. * Speaking of the concert in Hoicitika the West Coast Times says :.— f Those of the music loving" public who did not patronise the muysical entertainment in the Princess Teatre last night certainly missed an exceptional treat. The wonderful voice of M.- Ossipoff . was nothing short of a revelation, and those who patronised the recital recalled the famous singer again and again. To say that M Ossipoff's voice is powerful does no' do him justice; it is, (besides, rich in melody , wonderfully, expressive and full of emotional charm. His rendering* of the "Toreador Song"" was a revelation and was absolutely far ahead of anything", ever heard,' here* before, while ."The Two Grenadiers" was a solo that awoke the audience to 'the highest pitch of enthusiasm. j Miss Lilian Edmonds is a soprano with a good range 'and was. very successful in her several items. "Avh Maria" (.Gounod) was perhaps her best effort, for which she received hearty iapplause, and was recalled. The oboe solos by Mr Charles Norman won very general approval. Miss 'Renee Lees played her accompaniments with decided proficiency and sympathetic; ability, and in -a* vocal duet with M. Ossipoff sang 1 sweetly and with 'good "taste and phrasing. The Company appeared, last night at Reef ton and leave for Westport to-mor-row. .'.'*.'•
