We last night received the following telegram from the Rev. Father Cummins :— " Reefton, 25th November. " The Editor Grey River Argtjs, " Greymouth. " Sir — I request you to deny the assertion made in your paper. I recommended no member in Church or out of it, and will never recommend a Secularist. Michael S. Cummins." We regret if we have made our columns the means of circulating a statement that was incorrect ; we can only say that we received our information from a quarter which we had every reason to consider reliable. We therefore have no hesitation in tendering our apologies to the reverend gntleman for our unintentional error.
