JUtThe children attending the No Town national School were entertained on Monday at the uchool-house. It was originally intended to have a pic-nicat the Twelve-mile, but the inclemency of the weather prevented the project from being carried out. The children mustered in force, and, after partaking of cakes, &c, they marched through the town with their flags flying, much to their own enjoyment and the amusement of the inhabitants. A goodly number of the mothers attended to witness the children enjoying themselves, and also to enjoy themselves. The gentlemen were almost conspi- . pious by their absence, although a few put in an appearance. Racing was indulged in to the heart's content of the youngsters, small money prizes being given for each race, every one in fact gaining a prize. The eatables, &c,, cf which there was abundance, Were provided by the parents, and the youngsters did ample justice to the lot. After a thorough day's enjoyment the children separated a little after five o'clock, all highly pleased with their day's outing. — In the evening a few mustered for a couple of hours' dance. Every one, old and young, seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly.
