The cattle market yesterday was well attended ; warm competition for cattle. Beef, 27s 6d per 1001 b ; fat sheep, 2d to 2£dperlb; merino ewes, Id tol^ddo; cross bred lambs, 5s 3d to 8s each ; cross bred ewes, 7s to 12s each. Store cattle sold at excessive rates.
