Nominations, with two sovß, to be made at 'Hlivier's Hotel, Ahaura, on or before Thursday, 11th March ; acceptances, with two soys, will be received not later than Saturday, 20 oh March, at 8 p.m., at the same place. Ladies' Handicap— Of 15 soys, open to all horses ; distance, one and a half miles. Entrance, one soy, to be made on the 22nd March, before 10 p.m. Handicap to be declared on the course ; acceptances, with one soy, to be made on the course, within such, time as the Stewards may appoint ; gentlemen riders, professional jockeys to carry 71b extra. Farmers' Handicap — Of 10 soys ; open to all horses the bona fide property of farmers resident iv the district prior to Ist Jan., J-875 ; nominations, one soy, acceptance one soy ; one mile heats ; time for nominations ana acceptances as in the Ladies' Handicap. Butchers' and Cattle Dealers Handicap — Of 20 soys ; nominations, one soy. Open to all horses the bona fide property of butchers and cattle dealers, regularly trading in the district prior to the Ist January, 1875 ; distance, two miles ; acceptances, two soys. Time for nominations and acceptances as in the Ladies' Handicap. SECOND DAY— WEDNESDAY, MAR. 24. District Handicap— Of 25 soys ; open to ? '1 horses the bona fide propertj of residents in the district prior to the Ist January, 1875. The winner of any stake or plate of the value of £20 or over will be debarred from entry. Nominations, with one soy, to be made at Ollivier's Hotel, Ahaura, before 10 p.m. on the 23rd March. The weights will be declared the same night, and acceptancee with two soys, will be taken up to 10 a.m. on the 24th March, at the same place ; distance, one and a-half miles. District Handicap Trotting Race— Of 10 soys ; distance, three times round the course; minimum weight, list; entrance, oue soy ; handicap to be made on the course. Gold-fields Handicap— Of 30 soys ; nomination, one soy ; acceptances, two soys ; distance, one a-half miles ; date for nominations and acceptances as in the Grey Valley Handicap. District Handicap Hurdle Race— Of 25 soys ; nominations, one soy ; acceptances, two soys ; date for nominations and acceptances as in the District dicapHurry Scurry Race -The winner to get £5 ; catch weights ; post entry, 10s. Handicap Consolation Stakes —Of — soys ; open to all horses who have run and not won public money during the meeting ; weights to be declared immediately after the Hurry Scurry Race ; post entries, one soy. RULES AND REGULATIONS. The district, for the purposes of the programme, is defined as extending from the Arnold River to the Amuri Saddle Range, and from Lake Brunner to the Lyell River. In all races for £15 and over the qualification fee is two guineas, under £15 one guinea. All handicaps will be made by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. No entries will be received for any race, except upon the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or their nominees. Their decisions on all matters relating to the carrying out of this programme will be final. Three horses to enter for each race, and three must accept or the public money will be withheld . All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, at Ahaura, entrance money and qualification money enclosed (as the procramme directs), with the names of the owner, name, age, and pedigree of the horse, and colors of the rider, except where otherwise provided for. The stakes will be paid, less five per cent, on Thursday, 25th March, at Ollivier'a Hotel, Ahaura. Any jockey riding except in the colore entered will be fined two soys. M. H. HAYDEN, Hon. Sec.
