The s.s. Go-Ahead, Captain M'Gillvray, is expected to arrive in port this morning, and iB announced to sail at 10 p.m, for Wangauui direct. The s.s. Otago is expected to make a quick run round the ports, and will be here in a few days, when she will take her derparture for Melbourne direct. The s s. Kennedy, Captain Conway, while running in yesterday morning, caught by the heel on the tail of the Noith Spit, and the sea swinging her broad-ide on, before she had power to recover hene'f, was lifted on to the beach, where she remains, very little injured. The passengers and mails were easily landed and brought to town in boats The p.s. Dispatch went down the river to render assistance, but as it was too late on the tide, it wa9 thought best that another effort should be made at midnight to haul her off. The three-masted schooner Fairlie arrived a few days sinco at Lyitelton, under juryrig. She brought a cargo of tea from FooChow, and had been eighty-six days on the passage. During a terrific squall on the 3rd September, she lost her foremast, main, mizen topmast, and foreyard. The prospectus has tseen issued of a new steam company, to provide a steamer expressly suited for the bar harbors of Wellington. Province.
