The contractor must remove all timber falling in road or ditches, and make good any damage caused thereby. ■ ! , • - The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. :: Tenderers to name the time they will undertake to complete the contract. The shortest time, everything else being equal, will have the preference. Tenders addressed the "Inspector of Telegraphs, Hokitika," will be received till noen of Monday, 19th Oetobernexr. Each tender to contain cash or marked cheque for £100, to be forfeited in case of refusal to take up contract;, and tenderers must name sureties in the further amount of two hundred pounds (£2oo) 'sterling willing to guarantee the due completion of the contract. TENDERS are required for 700 TELEGKAPH POLES, more or less, their delivery, fitting with arms and caps, and their erection at mark pegs along. the road between Hokitika and Greymouth. Poles to be Totara, twenty-five (25) feet long, not less than eight (8) inches in diameter at the top ends, sound and straight, sawn square at the ends, and barked two feet at the top. • r. ,j. Each pole to be inserted not less than five (5) feet in the ground and well rammed in; Each tender must contain cash or marked cheque for £75, and the names of two sureties in twenty (20) per cent, of the amount of the tender. The deposit to be forfeited if any tenderer refuses to take up the contract. Tenderers to name .the time they willl undertake to complete the contract.: The shortest time, everything else being equal, will have preference.
