TENDERS are required for FELLING TIMBER along the Hokitika and Greymouth road, breast high, at per square chain. The contractor must remove all timber falling in road or ditches, and make good any damage caused thereby. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. Tenderers to name the time they will undertake to complete tKe contract. The shortest time, everything else being equal, will have the preference. ; : ' Tenders addressed the '' Inspector of Telegraphs, Hokitika," will be received till noan of Monday, 19th October next. Poles to be Totara, twenty-five- (25) feet long, not,, less than eight (8) 'inches in diameter at the top ends, sound and straight, sawn square at the ends, and barked two feet at the top. ■::•.! : r :; /;;: Each pole to be inserted not less than five (5) feet in the ground arid well rammed in. Each tender must contain cash or marked cheque for =£7s; arid the names of two sureties in twenty (20) per cent, of the amount of the tender.'
