[Anglo-australian press telegraph AGENCY.] Denedin, Aug. 24. The total insurance on buildings and stock belonging to Guthrie and Larnach, amounted to over L 20,000, of which the following may be taken as destroyed: — New Zealand Company— Guthrie and Larnach, L 300 0; Haworth, L 500 0; Spanish Restaurant, L 600; total, L 14,000. Guthrie and Larnach are insured in other offices for the the following amounts : — National, L 2500 ; South British, L 200 0; Norwich Union, L2OOO ; Victoria, L2OOO ; Standard, L 150 0; Australian Alliance, LI 000. Haworth is insured in the Royal for LSOO. Gibbs and Clayton, with the exception of a guarantee from Guthrie and Larnach of a few hundred pounds, are uninsured ; their loss is estimated at L2OOO. Rendall, the hairdresser, was altogether uninsured. An inquest will be held if nothing further is made known as to the cause.
