Owing to. the rough weather prevailing on the Coast, yesterday, there was neither arrivals nor departures at tho port. The vessels waiting for coal could not be loaded, owing to the strong fresh running in the river, which stopped the traffic There are several vessels now ready for sea, and they will be towed out the first opportunity* The s.s. Omeo is due here to-day from Nelson, and will be despatched with passengers for Melbourne via Newcastle. The six largest steamers in the world are : the Great Eastern, owned by the International Telegraph Construction and Maintenance Company, 674 ft long, 77ft broad ; the City of Pekin, lately launched in the Delaware river, Pacific Steam Navigation Company, 6000 tons, 423 ft long, 48ft broad ; the Liguria, the Pacific Steam Navigation Company, 4820 tons, 460ffc long, 45ft broad;, the Britannia, White Star Company, 4700 tons, 455 ft long, 45ft broad ; : the City Of Richmond, Inman, 46Q0 tons, 453 ft long, 45ft broad ; and the Bothnia, Cunard, 4500 tons, 425 ft long, 42& ft broad. . : . : \
