Their, general: aperient qualities well fit them for a domestic medicine, particularly for females of all ages, andperiods of life. They never betray any disagreeable irritating qualities ; they quickly eject; all impurities from the system, and regulate every function of the : body, giving wonderful tone and. energy to weak and debilitated persons, while they* brace arid strengthen the nervous system in a most extraordinary manner.
