COMMERCIAL,
Thefollowing is the last report of the Lyell Share Market, furnished by Messrs Leslie aai\ Stuart : — A moderate business doing in Break-o'-Day and Lyell Creek. Owing to the improved appearance of the new leader in the former claim increased confidence has been inspired, and shares are difficult to be met with at our former quotations. Maruia and Excelsior — None offering. Central - The directors purpose putting in a new tunnel to intercept the Break-o'-Day and Maruia leaders, and we confidently look forward to an advance in the value of these shares. Great Extended -Some little excitement was caused by a leader with gold in it having been struck in this claim, and shares have gone up considerably. Tichbornes are improving iv value. We quote sellers — Break-o'-Day f s 15s; Centrals, L 25 per quarter; Lyell Creek's, L 22 10s ; Orientals, L 25 per half. .--'
