[Anglo-australian press telegraph AGENCY.] Grahamstown, April 22. The Good Templars objected to a number of licenses, but all were overruled; except three or four adjourned. Except a like number refused on the recommendation oE the police, all the licenses were granted. Dcjnedin, April 32. A large number of applications for licenses were refused by a foil Bench of Magistrates. Mr Bathgate spoke for nearly an hour, generally against the prevalence of drunkenness, which he considered the chief cause of crime. Wellington, April 22. The Mongol Commission has concluded. Its report is to be sent in to Government on Thursday next. Very few licenses were opposed to-day, and by the police only ; none by the Good Templars.
