HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, Of 20 soys., over eight flfghts of hurdles. Nominations of 1 soy., to be made on 28th February. Weights to be declared, and acceptances, with 1 soy., to be made on 2nd March, at 10 p.m. Distance, about 2 miles. HACK RACE, Of 10 soys. ; open to all horses that n ever have won an advertised race. Entrance 10 shillings. Distance, 1 mile ; heats, Post entries. HANDICAP CONSOLATION STAKE, Of — soy. Entrance, — . Open to all horses that have run and not won public money during the meeting. Weights to be declared immediately after the Hack Race. Post entries. RULES AND REGULATIONS. The Greymouth Jockey Club rules as far as applicable. Qualification fee, 2 soys. All handicaps, except that for the Grey Valley Handicap, to be made by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. Three horses to enter for eacn race. In all handicaps three horses must accept, or the public money will be withheld. All stakes will be paid, less 5 per cent., on Wednesday, 4th March, at 8 p.m., at Gilmer's Hotel, Ahaura. No entries will be received for any of the races except upon this condition — that all disputes, claims, and objections, arising out of the racing, shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision on all matters relating to the carrying out of this programme shall be final. Standard weights for age as in the Greymouth Jockey Club Rules. Any jockey riding, except in the colors entered, will be fined 2 soys. Mares and geldings allowed 31b. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the hon. secretary (entrance-money and qualification-money enclosed), with the name of owner, name, age, and pedigree of horse, and colors of the rider, except where otherwise provided for, to te delivered not later than 8 p.m., on Friday, 28th February, at Pinkerton's Hotel, Ahaura.
