A proclamation has been issued warning peaceable citizens to keep out of the streets at night. Great excitement prevails. The rioters threaten to burn down the railway station. The Gazette contains a notification that a bonus of 6d per gallon will be paid on kerosene produced within the Colony to an extent not exceeding 50,000 gallons; and in quantities not less than 10,000 gallons. The kerosene must be approved by the Government, and sold at a fair price. H.M.S. Blanche sailed this afternoon for Auckland Islands, Antipodes Islands, and Campbell Islands ; after visiting these places she will proceed to Auckland to meet a provision ship, after which returns to Fiji. A great rush took place on Sunday to a new creek on the Lyell. The prospectors have traced golden stone fiom end to end of their claim, and it is said to be equal to anything on the Alpine Range. It is a separate line of reef. Four leases were applied for on Monday.
