Q. Kelmode, Esq. Smi'er was got by Prince, a pure Suffolk horse, imported by Mr Ford, from whom he was purchased, out of a remarkably fine mare, got by Czar, a Clydesdale horse, imported from Scotland, by the late Mr Scotb. The breed on dams side, were originally fnm a mare got by Clydesdale Ben, a fine imported Clydesdale to Syduey about twenty years ago, and has been crossed bj» none but imported Clydesdales, with the exception of Prince. Golden Eagle's great grand-sire Skelet n, i bred by the Ma guis of Sligo, was one of the ' best horses that ever ran on the Curragh of Kildare, where he won five races out of six for whi h he started the year he was brought out, and was then sold for £2000 to be shipped for Australia. The stock of Risk are well-known in Marlborough as admirable hackneys, and Golden Eagle has also proved a valuable horse at the stud.
