NEESON PROVINCIAL ELECTIONS.
The election of two members to represent the Ahaura district in the Nelson Provincial Council took place yesterday. The polling places "were— Ahaura,^No Town, Nelson. Creek^ and Half-Ounce. J27 ... 8 — 35 It is just possible that the result of the voting at Half Ounce may seriously alter the. positions of Messrs Guinness 'and M'Kenna for second place, but the bthere are hopelessly out of the race.
