: BtUFF, Nov. 3. The s.s. Omeo, Calder, has arrived. She left on the 28th October, at 4 p.m. ; experienced a heavy gale on the Ist, and was hove-to for 12 hours, and arrived at the Bluff at 11 p.m. on the 2nd. She brings 25 saloon and -62 steerage passengers, and 490 tons cargo, 37 horses, and 130 sheep for all ports. She sails for Dunedin at 4 p.m. to-day. London, Oct. 25. • The Lord Mayor of London, Sir Sidney Waterlow, entertained 300 guests at the Mansion House. Mr Saul Samuel responded for the British Colonies in a speech which was highly applauded. Dr Keneally is indisposed. The examination of witnesses in the Tichborne trial is concluded. A Conservative candidate is elected for Hull. Fjranob. Bazaine's examination shows that political motives dominated his conduct during the late war. ' Chambord concedes all the requirements to a deputation from the Right. The Monarchists leave to the Assembly the terms upou which Chambord shall be invited, to the throne. Thiers heads the Republican opposition against the Monarchists. M'Mahon reserves to himself the right
of liberty of action, but resolves to stand by the Conservatives. Spain. There are dissentions amongst the Carlists. r . The Minister of Marine assumes the command of the squadron, vice Admiral Lobo, dismissed. Germany.
