The Anchor Line steamer Murray, Conway, arrived yesterday afternoon, from Hokitika From the time of her leaving Nelson until her arrival at Westport,; the' Murray met, with very rough weather arid a head sea.;i : After discharging a portion of her cargo, at i the latter pace she : went on to Hokitika, left there on yesterday's tide and arrived here as before mentioned. --After coaling here she left last night for Westport and Ne son. . 'I he Wild Wave, Rae,' master, was towed, to sea yesterday by the Dispatch, and, after gaining £t good offing, stood northwards with a fair breeze. She is bound for Lyttelton. and takes with her a full . cargo of coals, shipped' by her agents Messrs D. Maclean and Co. The schooner Lizzie Guy, which arrived at the wharf on yesterday afternoon's tide, is the second of the Freight Co. 's vessels which, has ' arrived at this port from ; Melbourne. ' Captain Houston reports having left the Heads on the 27th ult., and getting clear of the land on the following day, with a heavy westerly wnd, which continued to blow nearly all the way across.
