HIGH WATER. This Day- -8.45 a.m. ; 9.10 p.m. To-morrow - 9.35 a.m. ; 10 p.mARRIVED. September 19-Seabird, schooner, from Melbourne. (In the roadstead.) SAILED. September 19-ocean Bird, schooner, for September 19-Jupit«r, ketch, for Lyttelton.
The schooner Sea Bird, from Melbourne, arrived in the roadstead yesterday, and is expected to be towed in this morning by the Titan. The agents of the s.s. Omeo now on her ■way round the ports, inform us that it is jujst possible she will proceed to Melbourne via Newcastle. This will afford a good opportunity to intending passengers for Sydney. She is expected here about the 24th inst. • ■ The next steamer expected from Melbourne direct is the Alhambra, . She was expected to leave on the 18th inst., and may therefore be expected here about the 23rd inst, when she will take passengers for Melbourne, via the ports, as usual. The schooners Wild Wave and Sarah and Mary, both from Greymouth, arrived at Lyttelton on the 15th inst. The schooner Lizzie Guy, of the Freight Company's line, arrived at Melbourne on the 11th inst. from Hokitika, which she left on the 22nd ult., and was appointed, to leave for Greymouth on or about the 19th inßt. The Gloaner had sailed.
