Charles Harvell, tobacconist, Ahaura, inflicted serious injuries on himself yesterday evening by cutting several veins and sinews of the left arm. He also gashed his throat. There was great loss of blood. He was arrested. Dr Phillips entertains hopes of his recovery. He was a man of strict sobriety, in good circumstances, and of irreproachable character. Thie cause is a mystery.
