After the 4th SEPTEMBER, 1873, Two Lights, COLORED RED, will be shown for the guidance of vessels over the Inner Bar, , from Two Skeleton Beacons, erected in the western portion of the Town' of Greymouth. The south-eastern or high light is twenty feet, and the north-western or lower light fifteen feet above high water during ordinary spring tides. The lights in one lead through the deepest water, over shallow at the lower part of the Cross Channel, after passing the Flagstaff inwards. Mariners are. cautioned, that those lights are in no way to interfere with the lights at the Flagstaff, and are only to be used for the navigation of that portion of the river extending f rom the Flagstaff to the foot of' : ; Arney street.
