[Anglo-australian press telegraph AGENCY.] Wellington, Aug. 29. The s.s Taranaki visited the scene of the wreck of the Rangitbto to-day and took soundings. She reports the wreck to be uninjured. A shock of earthquake was felt here to-day. Auckland, Aug. 29. Fiji news reports that Tui Tukuku has been seized by H.M.S. Conflict. Christchurch, Aug. 29. Royse, Stead, and Co. report the wheat market firm, owing to English advices. Prime samples are scarce at ss ; oats, 4s 9d ; butter,' lid, f.o.b Wanganui, Aug. 29. Beef, 16s per hundred pounds; mutton, 2|d. A shock of earthquake was felt to-day. Ditnedin, Aug. 29. Two directors of the National Insurance Company proceeded North. Thirty thousand shares have been applied for in Dunedin. Nkl'son., Aug. 29. A shock of earthquake was experienced this afternoon.
