[NEW ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, April 19. The s.s. Hero has arrived from Sydney. Her dates have been anticipated. In consequence of a telegram from New Zealand, over fifty passengers for the Nebraska were left in Sydney, and the mail was also put on shore. The Nebraska was detained for the Hero's arrival, and the agents are accordingly much disgusted at the passengers not coming. The Nebraska sailed with twenty Auckland passengers, including Mr Thomas Russell and family. Auckland, April 20. Dr Pollen has joined the Ministry, and will represent them in the Upper House. He proceeds to Wellington with Mi Yogel, next week, to be sworn in. Nelson, April 20 Mr Charles Elliott, of the Examine? Company, has issued an address to the electors of the Suburbs, offering himseli ai a candidate for that seat in the Assembly.
