.... .•; Tenders. ISSUE OF £250,000 NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT DEBENT JRE3 IN NEW ZEALAND. Treasury, Wellington, Bth April, 1873. TENDERS are invited for the purchase of tbe whole or any portion of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government Debenture?, issued under the Acts of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled "The Iraoiigration and Public Works Loan Act, 1870," and "The Defence and Other Purposes Loan Act, 1870," subject to the under-mentioned conditions : — ■ ; Iv The Debentures Will be payable to Bearer and will be issued in sums of not less than One Hundred Pounds each. 2. The Debentures, which are secured on the ' : Consolidated Revenue of the Colony, will bear interest at the rate oi4per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, on the 15th day of April and tbe 15th day of October in each year, at the Bank of New ' Zealand at Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellingtbri, Napier, Nelson, Blenheim,; Christchurbb, Greymoutb, Hokitika, Dunedin, or Invercargill. 3 The principal sum will be payable on the 15th day of April, 1913, at the Treasury at Wellington, or at any Branch of the Bank of New Zealand, in New Zealand, at the option of the holder, six months' notice being required, previous to maturity, of the place at which payment will be required. ; 4. Tenders will be opened at the Treasury at Wellington at noon on Friday, the ninth day of May next, in the presence of such of the tenderers as desire to bo present — the minimum price under seal being first placed on the table. In the event of equal tenders being received ior a sum in excess of the issue, a pro rata distribution will be made. 5. The amount tendered for must be paid at the Treasury at Wellington, as under: — 5 per cent, accompanying application ;* the balance on or before the 16th May, 1873, ,i Or at the option of the purchasers :— 5 per cent, on application. 20 per cent, in one month, ' 25 per cent, in two months, with accrued 25 per cent, in three months, interest. 25 per cent, in four months, ■■■■■■■■ * Purchasers electing to pay balance within a week will be eutitled to interest from the 15th day of April On payment of the final instalment, Debentures signed by the Agents appointed under the respective Acts, will be delivered to purchasers or their nominees. Half per cent, brokerage will be allowed to brokers through whose applications sales are effected. : ;■• Applications by telegraph, received not later than 10 o'clock on the 9th May, will be accepted, provided they are accompanied by a telegram from the Manager of any Branch or Agency of the Bank of INew Zealand, ' notifying that the necessary deposit his been paid into the Bank of New Zealand, to the credit of a Loan Deposit Account.
