Medium build, dark complexion, grey eyes, Jewish nose (slightly inclined to the right), Very bald on top of head, hair over ears very long and worn down over back of neck, shaved last Sunday, two large scars on top of head, slightly pockmarked; eyes deep set,' scars on brows, nearly all teeth out; ' ' E.L. Had on twill shirt with Gaol brands, moleskin trousers', ; and straw hat at the time of escape. , Sentenced to Eight Years' Penal Servitude, at Supreme Court, Hokitika, in 1871. English; 44 years of age; sft sin high; Medium build, smallfeet, slightly bo dark complexion, bushy eyebrows, hair inclined to grey, speaks with a sharp tone, very talkative, teeth much .stained with tobacco. Tin and locksmith by trade. Had on straw hat with Gaol brands, also twill shirt and moleskin trousers, branded.
