In the District Court to-day, Frolli, for destruction of property at No Town, on three charges received one month, each sentence to be coucurrent. Gracey, "the barnacle," was charged with indecent assault on a child six years old. A verdict of common assault was brought in, and he was sentenced to 12 months' hard labor. Young v. Bourke, an appeal from the Warden's Court to determine the ownership of a section at Granville, was dismissed. A deputation will meet the Superintendent this evening. There is great indignation about the reported high price of town sections at the rate of L3OO per acre.

[NEW ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, March 3. The Governor left this morning per Luna. The regatta has been postponed in conseqnence of a strong south-east -wind and heavy swell in the harbor. There is every indication of a change of wind and smooth water to-morrow. The position of affairs has become more complicated. The Governor having, under the circumstances, declined to accept the resignation of Mr Waterhouse, the latter refused to allow the Luna to leave without his authority. The other members of Cabinet disapproved of this step, and recommended that his resignation should be accepted, and that Mr,-, Fox should be requested to take office; Mr Fox, on being strongly appealed to, agreed to do so temporarily till the members of Cabinet re-assemble at Wellington. The new Ministry will be gazetted to-morrow, and the Governor will proceed to the Native meeting as intended, returning to Wellington as required. March 3, 8 p.m. The new Ministry is gazetted. Fox, Premier ; and the others as before. Mr Yogel telegraphed that he will return per Hero, now due at Auckland. There is every prospect of a fine day for the Regatta to-morrow.
