The races were well attended. The Waimea Steeplechase was won by Modesty. The Great Waimea Handicap by Miseltoe. The Wakefield Free Handicap by Rustic. Auckland, Feb. 14. The Hauhaus in the Aotea and Kawhia districts are restarting the flour-mills and are. going to open the harbor to vessels to carry flour away, and establish free intercourse between the races. Fourteen thousand one hundred nineteen shares in the National Bank are applied for.
