Assembly giving citizens instead of aldermen the right of electing the Mayor. The Rowing Club has decided to send a gig crew to the Melbourne Regatta. The Balmain Regatta Committee- has received Mr Gulston's offer to bring out a University crew, if the race in outriggers is without a coxswain and over a straight, smooth water course. The Committee telegraphed to England accepting the terms.
