An influential deputation interviewed the Superintendent, urging claims of a number of public works ? and attributing delay in undertaking public works and j the breakdown of immigration to the Superintendent's 1 action. He said these were only the fault of the General and not of the Provincial Government. Subscriptions for the relief of the Martin's Bay settlers are coming-in. The Rev.
