Entrance, 2 sow. Foi all horses. Weight for age. Distance, one mile and a half. Butchers' Purse, of 20 soys. Entrance, 2 soys. For all horses the bona fide property for three months before the day of nominations of butchers in the Grey Valley district, and which have not won any public money to the amount of £25, or upwards. Weight for age. Distance, one mile. Heats. Ladies' Pukse, of 25 soys. Entrance, 3 soys. For all horses. Welter weight for age. Gentlemen riders. Distance, two miles. Town Plate, of 40 soys. Entrance, 4 soys. Weight for age. The winner of the Trial Stakes to carry 51bs extra, Distance, two miles. Hack Race, of — soys. Entrance, 1 soy. Open to all horses not trained. Catch weights. Post entries. SECOND DAY— FRIDAY, FEB. 21st. Ahaura Handicap, of 25 soys. Entrance, 3 soys. Distance, two miles. Weights to be declared at 8 p.m., on the February 20, at Hamilton's Hotel. Grey Valley Handicap, of 100 soys. Nominations, 3 soys. Acceptances, 5 soys. Weights to be declared at the same time and place as the Ahaura Handicap. Acceptances to be made at 10 p.m. Distance, two miles. Trotting Race, of — soys. Distance, three times round the course. Entrance, 1 soy. Minimum weight, 12 stone. Distance, handicap. Forced Handicap, of 30 soys. Entrance, 3 soys. For all winners, except of the Hack and Trotting Races. Open to all horses that have run during the meeting Weights to be declared immediately after the Trotting Race. Distance, one and a half miles . Consolation Stakes, of 20 soys. Entrance 1 soy. Open to all horses that have run and not won public money during the the meeting. Weights to be declared at the same time as the weights for the Forced Handicap. Distance, 1 mile. RULES AND REGULATIONS. The Greymouth Jockey Club Rules as far as applicable. Qualification Fee, 2 soys. Three horses to enter for each race. In all handicaps three horses must accept, or the public money will be withheld. All stakes will be paid, less 5 per cent., on Saturday, at 8 p.m., at Hamilton's HoteL No entries will be received for any of the races, except upon the conditions that all disputes, claims, and objections, arising out of the racing, shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision on all points of carrying out this programme shall be final. Standard weights for age, as in the Greymouth Jockey Club Rules. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Stewards (entrance money enclosed) with the name of owner, name, age, and pedigree of horse, and colors of rider, must be sent to the Secretary, Ahaura, not later than 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 6th.
