Melbourne.—The Argus, of Dec. 30, says :— The holidays being still kept up, no business wap transacted in the import markets this forenoon. Telegrams have heen received by two firms in town, dated 23rd and 24th inst. respectively, with reference to the iron market, announcing a positive advance of 20s per ton on manufactured iron, and prices iirin, with an upward tendency.
