Fullarton's, and|t"he respective neigh, borhoods, have all hived at the Four-MHe, where gold is reported to have been nickid up by buckets fulL The " Four-Mile" w^Fofir miles from Hyde, and Hyde is eight miles from Hamiltons. The Four-Mile is also four miles from the Taieri Lake home station From various sources we learn that fromlQQ to 500 miners are on the ground; Shearers, washers, and station ihands-gener»l^;«hiwfe all left for the scene of action.
