Three young lads, Hiram Bellhouse, John Wejrtbnry, and George Wilson, who were accused of cansing the death of the unfortunate Jarvis Kershaw, by smearing him with tar at Scotchman's, on the 14th nit, were brought up at the Ballarat Court on Friday morning, charged with manslaughter. As Dr Sparling, who had wade the post mortem examination;' deposed that he had found no marks of violence, and that death had been caused by apoplexy, the Bench declined to commit the prisoners, and they were discharged. All three looked most stupidly unmoved while the proceedings were going on, though Mr Gaunt said they should remember their muchievious act as long as they lived. -
