Dunedin, Dec. 7. There are 13 cases of typhus and scarlet fever on board the Falmerston. The Dreyfus cargo was auctioned yesterday. The prices show a decline. They ranged from yellow to finest white, L 32 30s to L 39 2s 6d. Nelson, Dec. 7. The Caledonian Society have awarded a medal to Mr Hamill for his conduct on the occasion of the wreck ri the City of Newcastle. Auckland, Dec. 7. Captain Armstrong's residence, at Epsom, has been consumed by fire. It was insured for L4OO in the New Zealand Office. Napier, Dec. 7. Bucknell,the sailor belonging to the ship Ballarat, who drifted out to sea in the pilot boat on Thursday, was found thirty miles up the coast.
