FATAL COACH ACCIDENT. [l^v zealand pile.ss association.] Wellington, Nov. 18. To-day's Gazette notifies the following bonuses to be given in compliance with the resolution of the House as to colonial industries ;— LSOOO for the production of 100 C tons of good pig iron j LIO, OOO bonus for 100 tons steel from iron sand ; L2OOO for 250 tons of beetroot sugar 5 L 2500 for 100 tons of printing paper manufactured by machinery ; 4s per cwt. on cured fish, dry or pickled, exported for consumption abroad. , . .
Auckland, Nov. 18. The Cagli Opera Troupe were passengers by the Hero. ■ -.'■■:■'.'. Christchukch, Nov. 18. Redwood beat Maxwell in a pigeon match. The former killed 44 birds, the latter 30. Mr H. Black, coach-driver between Akaroa and Christchurch, drove over 1 steep bank. Mrs Black wa3 killed, and Mr Black is since reported tlead.
